McCrometer MD312 12-Inch Bolt-On Saddle Flow Meter for PIP/OD Pipe

The McCrometer MD312 is a 12-inch bolt-on saddle flow meter for PIP and OD irrigation pipe, with a 150-2,500 GPM flow range. It is built for accurate flow measurement in large irrigation mains.

Its propeller measures water flow by rotating in the flowstream. That rotation is transmitted mechanically to the register, which displays instantaneous flow rate and accumulated volume through an indicator and totalizer. The register case is hermetically sealed and includes a hinged lens cover with a locking clasp.

For accurate measurement, install the meter with at least 5 pipe diameters of straight pipe upstream and 1 pipe diameter downstream. The pipeline must remain full of water for an accurate reading. Most installations are horizontal; vertical installation may be specially ordered. When properly ordered and installed, accuracy is guaranteed within +/- 2% of actual flow.
